Biography

Rusty Door Photography is a creative, inspirational and personal journey. The name comes from the old rusty bunker doors at one of my favorite places, Fort Worden, near Port Townsend, Washington. The doors tell a story through their history and deterioration.

I find inspiration in abandoned buildings, the dark bunkers of old forts, cemeteries and other forgotten places in my travels. This especially came true as I returned to Washington State last year after spending 5 years in central Alabama exploring the dark, complex history of the area.

I want to thank my boyfriend Joey for all the support and inspiration that he has shown. Much of the photos that were taken were with him by my side. Thank you sir!
